4/18 UPDATE FROM TRAINER: Thunder has been spendong time at a board and train facility for several weeks now. Thunder loves to run and play in their large fenced area and can play with other energetic dogs. The adopter will need to keep an eye on dog intractions when off leash because Thunder can become dominant in play if allowed but can be redirected. Thunder's main issue is resource guarding from the other dogs. Toys can cause a major reaction if another dog tries to play with his toy. Older children only for this boy as well. Thunder is still a wonderful loving dog with humans, but would do best as an only dog or an exxperiencee boxer owner who has dealt with resource guarding in the past. _______________________________________________ 3/24 UPDATE FROM FOSTER: Thunder is a handsome 6 year old Boxer-Catahoula Mix. He is a beautiful Blue Merle in color that leaves you in awe of his unique look. Thunder is crate trained and loves the companionship of people. He will lay quietly playing with his toys just enjoying being by your side. He likes to go on walks also. He uses an easy walk harness when he walks because he does pull some without it. With his harness he does just fine and will walk as long as you want to!! Thunder needs to be an only dog in the family. He can get a little snippy with other dogs and really doesn't care for cats. For someone who is looking for a best friend who just wants to hang out with his human family this is the guy for you. _______________________________________________ Wiggle, waggle, jiggle, squirm - Thunder just can’t seem to hold still when someone pays attention to him. That white tip on his tail keeps going round and round and he can’t decide if he wants to sit in your lap or flop down for a belly rub. What a happy boy he is! Thunder’s favorite game is tug with a rope toy and although he’s quite muscular, he plays very gently with it. A short tug game with Thunder and he’s soon back in your lap! Thunder’s eye catching merle coat on a boxer body makes him really unique and he is sure to turn heads! And he comes with extra -- a non-stop wagging full tale. We’ve nicknamed him “Wonder Boy” because he so wants to be someone’s sidekick - just like Batman’s sidekick, Robin, the Wonder boy. If you are looking for a sidekick, come meet Thunder.
