6/18 UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM:
Riley is starting to come out of her shell!  She loves to play with tennis balls and plush toys (although the plush toys don't survive long) but is also able to calm down and relax when needed.  Riley is definitely more couch potato than "athlete" but she does enjoy prancing around on multiple walks throughout the day.  Riley does appear to be dog selective and demonstrates dominant behaviors with other female dogs and would do best as the only dog.  This cute little nugget is a bit of a picky eater but it could have more to do with her worn down/ chipped teeth.  This little lady is quiet and rarely barks at anything when in the house or outside in the yard.  This dog would be a great addition to anyone's family looking to include a snorting little love bug into their homes.  Riley does seem to interact with women better than men on first introductions, but once she knows who you are, she is your shadow and will give you a full body wiggle when she greets you. Riley loves belly rubs and is a complete ham, she smiles when you give her attention and soaks up love like a sponge.

This girl craves attention! She will lean her whole body into you, when you pet her, to soak up as much contact as possible - she is also a big fan of belly rubs! She is still unsure of her new surroundings (it's only been a day so come on!) but is taking everything in stride and does well with positive reinforcement. Riley is quiet (as of right now) and has yet to bark since arriving in foster care - although, she does snort, burp, and snore to make up for h
er meekness. She is brushing up on manners and learning to wait before rushing through doorways, stay off counter tops, and not jump up on furniture unless invited. Riley is doing very well, and is a definite ham! She seems to have a bit of a prey drive with the critters we've seen out and about on walks, but she is easy to redirect. This tough looking pooch has growled at a few dogs, which were seen at a distance -but it may be more out of fear in a new surrounding or dominance, as she will growl at herself in mirrors... Riley is getting the hang of walking on a leash, but for the most part, she sticks right by your side like a little shadow due to her apprehension in her new area. This girl has a very expressive face with the best pouty lips!
