Omar was a stray in Missouri. We don't know how old exactly but could be anywhere from 6 to 9. A good dog person was able to catch him and tried to locate his owners with no luck. He was covered in ticks and brought to the vet for basic medical care. They proactively started him on a course of doxy to help cut back any possible tick issues. His finder loved him but already had 6 dogs of her own so she wanted him to find a home through rescue. Omar is good with dogs (foster siblings are three senior girls: english bulldog, boxer mastiff mix, little boxer pug mix) and GREAT with cats-he always seems to cuddle next to Milo, the one eared senior cat! He can have lots of wiggles and get zoomies, but mostly likes to chill, relax on the couch and loves to be close to his people. He is a velcro boy-if you get up to go into another room, so does he. He prefers to sleep by the pillows between his foster parents. He doesn't love the crate but does better if kenneled up to another dog and given some yummy treats. He walks nice on leash and we have only heard him bark a couple times and that is when he can't be right with you (like when his foster mom visits her goats at the barn just a tiny ways away). He rides great in the car and everyone that meets him thinks he just the best boy...... and he is!!!!
