___________________________________________________ Hi everyone, name is Billy! I was living in a Colorado shelter for the past few months. The nice shelter staff loved me so much, they put out a plea to find me a foster home or rescue. Now I am in the care of Rejection Collection Boxer Rescue and settling into my foster home. I am a happy go lucky, loving boy. When I get excited I tend to get a bit mouthy and/or licky. I don’t bite down or anything, I just get so excited I don’t know how to contain myself.
I am potty trained, do fine in a crate, and enjoy exploring the fenced in yard. I am still learning the ropes in my foster home. My foster mom says I am doing really well, I just need to brush up on a few manners. I am a smart boy and seem to learn quickly if you take the time to teach me.
I am getting to know my little foster fur sister, Micka. I like her so much I want to play rough and box her in the face. I like licking her face and sometimes try to start mouth wrestling. My foster mom usually stops me because I am bigger and a bit too much for Micka. Maybe once she gets used to me she’ll try to wrestle back.
There are two kitties in my foster home. So far I am VERY curious, to the point that I am obsessed. I have tried to chase one of the kitties and would like to taste him. I don’t understand why that’s so bad? Based on my intense behavior so far, my foster mom says that I would probably do best in a home without cats or small critters.
The shelter said I do well with female dogs, but prefer to be the only male. My initial age estimate was about 8 years, but the RCBR vet thinks I might be closer to 6 years old. My foster mom says I do seem to have the energy of a younger dog. I say age is just a number anyway. Stay tuned for more updates as my foster family gets to know me.
Love,
Billy
