JAN 2021 UPDATE: Hi all! Jana here. I'm a sweet southern gal we loves life to the fullest. My foster mom says I'm a muscle bound ball of energy. I can run, jump & would love to play all day long. My fur foster brother is nice but a bit on the lazy side. He also can have a bad attitude. When meeting another dog, I need time. I do not know how to control myself so very, very slow intros are a must. I'm very well behaved. I know sit, shake, wait, come. I'm part hound so when my nose is going I'm busy. Lol. I love people so much. I get really excited when I see my people. I jump & jump some more. I might be too much for toddlers. I will need someone who will keep me in line or I will take over the household. ______________________________________________ From the foster mom: Jana will need someone who can set boundaries and work on her obedience skills. She had too much freedom in her past home and took advantage of the situation. Jans is improving daily and is very smart. She wants to learn and please her people. No young children in the home until she learns more indoor manners. Jana loves to play and after appropriate introductions, she can have lots of fun chasing and playing with other dogs. Jana does have a prey drive for outside critters so probably not good with cats. In Jana's own words: "My foster mommy took me to work today. It was fun & very exhausting. I sat waiting to be shown what to do. Mommy brought me to "my station". It had a comfy place to lay down, toys, stuff to chew on. I'm thinking jack pot! Then I heard noises from the ceiling. I knew mommy didn't hear them so I let her know something was up. She told me it was a karate class? So then I let them know that I was down below & they were disturbing us. I also greated people & asked them if they really truly liked what they were eating. It was the best day." Jana is brand new to RCBR and we are just learning about her. A few things we do know already is -- she has her full tail and knows how to use it and she is so well behaved and will sit & wait before going outside or through a gate. Jana can be picky with other dogs. Might be best as an only pet, but with time could get along with the right dog. Stay tuned for more details! Current foster home location is Minnesota.
