1/25 UPDATE -- Kobe continues to do well in his new foster home. He still needs to be muzzled when meeting new people, but he does not have issues meeeting and playing with well-behaved dogs. Kobe is very comfortable with his muzzle and will allow you to put it on and will keep it on without any problem. He is comfortable in a crate. Kobe is a very smart boy and is working on new commands every day. He definitely as 'sit' and 'stay' and 'come' mastered. Kobe would do best in a home with no young children, a home that can give him a calm setting, and a household without a lot of people/strangers comeing in and out. We are hoping Kobe will mature and outgrow this one issue of being so nervous and fearful around new people but that remains to be seen.
_______________________________________________________ Kobe came into rescue with reactivity towards both people and dogs He has been in specialized care and training at a facility to help him overcome his fear that is causing him anxiety and reactivity in certain environments. Kobe has made a lot of progress but will need continue support and training in his adoptive home. He will need someone experienced with the boxer breed and behaviors, as well as patience in introducing him to new people, dogs, and overall life experiences. He is a gorgeous boy that deserves the best life has to offer him at whatever level that may be. Kobe is a work in progress and each week he learns something new. Kobe was never socialized properly as a puppy and is working hard to overcome his issues. If you are interested in finding out more about Kobe and think you could offer him a safe and happy home, please contact us. We will be very picky about the home he goes to so he can grow into a well-socialized and happy adult.
