Let me tell you a story about a sweet boy named Thor. In early 2021, Thor went through a very ugly situation. By the time Thor made it to RCBR, he had spent weeks fending for himself and as a result had cuts and scrapes all over, many broken teeth, and was terrified. Thor needed food, veterinary care, decompression, training, medication and LOVE. Of course, Thor was given all of these things immediately!
Thor was adopted soon after he arrived with us. Sadly, despite being loved by his adopters, the first adoption just didn't work out. That happens sometimes. Here is the thing about Thor. He thrives in certain environments, and he struggles in others. He is on anxiety medications that ideally, he will be tapered off of. He has been through a very good training program, but like all dogs he needs consistency in order to retain what he learned. Yes, there is complexity to Thor's background and he can be stressed by change, unfamiliar situations or having a lot of act ivity around him. DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM REACHING OUT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THOR. With the right family, he will be an absolute joy. When he is in the right place and comfortable, Thor is silly, loving, sweet, happy and a major cuddle bug. Thor will never be a dog that you can take to noisy events, dog parks, or super active areas, but he will show you unconditional love and entertain you for hours! Thor's fosters would be more than happy to talk directly to those who are interested in him, to answer any questions and to work with you to see if you have just what Thor needs.
