UPDATE 5/30: Jack is a super sweet boy who loves to cuddle and be close to his people. He is quiet and gentle with occasional bursts of Boxer wiggles. He loves to quietly explore our fenced yard and prefers to go potty off leash. He had a broken leg so he's had a lot of kennel rest time and is used to being kenneled but he prefers to be out of it as much as possible. He is well house-trained but can be subtle about asking to go out. He doesn't chew on things he shouldn't but he does like to carry things that smell like his people (shoes, glasses, remote controls) over to his bed. He is learning some basic commands like sit and come. He gets overwhelmed when he thinks he's in trouble so he needs a gentle hand with training. He is blind in one eye so he has some depth perception challenges and needs his people to look out for him. He is good with cats as well -- some interest but doesn't hurt them.
__________________________________________________________ 3's Company, but never a crowd! RCBR recently welcomed Jack, Chrissy, and Janet to the rescue. These boxers were released from a breeding farm to being their new lives as family pets. Jack is still getting comfortable in his foster home. His foster family reports that he is doing well with acclimating to family life and has found out toys can be fun. Unfortunately, Jack was playing a bit too much the other day and broke his leg. No worries, he is on the mend. As soon as we know more information about Jack and his prognosis, we will update his bio page. Stay tuned!
