UPDATE 8/26: Harleyis spending a few days in our trainer's home. She feels Harley will be a great dog for those willing to work with him. Harley needs brain stimulation through focused walks, brain games around the house, and spending time honing his obedience skills. He shows a desire to please his humans and responds well to corrections and treats. Harley knows sit, stay, law down, and shake. He can catch treats on the fly. ___________________________________________________ UPDATE 8/18: Harley is looking for a family that will continue with training. He can overact to situations while out on a walk in the big wide world. Harley is working on learning to focus on his foster parents to deal with distractions. He needs a strong committment to help him feel safe and secure in his home and neighborhood. He does tend to still want to jump up to greet people. His adopter will need to have patience with Harley and very slowly introducing him to daily things that go on all around him. He absolutely adores his foster family! _________________________________________________________ From the foster: Harley likes to counter surf so we have to keep telling him to get down. As for when he plays or gets in his play mode he tries to go after arms -- not biting but with open mouth as he jumps. When he is not over excited he is a sweet heart and loves your attention. He is a 73 pound lap dog. Trying to train him not to play so rough with me but he doesn't know his limit yet. He has opened up more since we got him. Might need some additional training which is where we are concerned. Harley has old habits that need to be tamed down.
