UPDATE 10/12: She has been doing great. She plays with the house dogs, is walking on her leash and learning basic commands. She spent the weekend at another volunteer’s home and did great with their house dogs also. She loves to go outside and explore but has not learned to potty outside yet. She is really smart and will learn when she is ready.

So let me update you all on this girl Evie! Right now she has been with her foster for a week and WOW has she changed, BTW I am the foster!

She came broken, scared, wanting love but not sure how to ask and just unsure of the world around her. Yes, the previous post say she is heartworm positive and she has double entropion (eye lashes run on eyes). She also needs to be spayed. She is almost no longer the dog that I received on a late Sunday night.

She sleeps in bed with me and my two boys, she lays on the couch at night with all of us, and today she did zoomies around the house. She knows she can jump on the couch and bed. She will sleep on the couch during the day while I am at work. She has learned that she will get plenty food and water here also.

She has learned about toys, bones and antlers. She is playing and romping with my boys and having fun being the one to initiate the playing.

She has seen the vet and was given meds to help with her eyes till she can have surgery, which has been scheduled. In the meantime she is working on pottying outside, basic manners, and giving her lots of love.
