Angel
Angel Cakes truly lived up to her name. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She is greatly missed by many.

Angel
Angel crossed the bridge 1/29/2024 What can I say about my sweet Angel? She arrived on a day that I had a broken sad heart. I had just put my Bassett hound down that day. I was set to foster “Snow'' that day and decided to proceed with the placement anyway. “Snow '' quickly became “Angel” (because that is exactly what she was) and I knew she was sent to me to help me heal. I knew immediately that this beautiful girl was “home”. She was the most gentle soul and she loved everyone. She had a special bond with my grandson, even before he was born, as she laid her head on his mamas belly often. That bond remained until her last day and he still is asking me where she is. She had the 9 lives of a cat and had rallied numerous times when I thought it was her last day. She told me it was time a month ago and now I have a broken sad heart again. I loved this sweet soul with my whole being and my poor blind lab curls up in her “way too small bed” every night mourning her loss. Fly high sweet girl-I loved you best.

Apollo
Well... the short time we had Apollo, AKA Pauly, he sure got a lot of loving. We came home a few weeks after adopting Pauly and found our sweet old boy has passed away. Regretting we weren't here but this morning I had a long talk with him and told him what a good boy he is and that I love him so much. He stared into my eyes like he understood everything I was saying. Thanks for the love you showed us, Pauly, not run free ...

Archie
It is with great sadness that I had to say goodbye to my sweet Boxer Archie. He had to be euthanized due to a diabetic coma and complications from the disease the day after Thanksgiving. RCBR rescued him two years ago after he was given up to a high kill shelter in Tennessee. I became his foster then quickly became a foster failure and adopted him. Archie was such a sweet gentle boy. He was my constant shadow here at home. He loved living on a farm and having lots of doggie friends. Thanks to RCBR for saving his life and giving me the honor of being his Mom.

Aussie (RCBR Angus)
Angus (Aussie) came to us a couple of years ago in November and was an absolute delight as a rescue dog. He was hesitant of new people in house, especially males but eventually warmed up to them and showed his affectionate side. At the time, he was absorbed into a dog household of 3 with 2 brothers and sister. However, the big fella was just happy to be accepted and for the first time in his life was able to let his guard down and just be a dog. Eventually he fit right in and was part of the pack. In April of 2024 he had a stint of back and forth visits to the vet for an eye issue that eventually revealed to us a degenerative spinal issue. Over the next 6 months he steadily declined to the point that come October he was having to be carried for just about everything. Eventually, it would have affected him internally at the pace it was going. Early in November he decided that his watch was over and crossed over. with his little pal Jynx following him the next week. It was both the saddest thing we had ever done for a dog and one of the biggest reliefs. There will never, ever be another like him.
