Beaux
Beaux was saved from a shelter in Virginia. He was only 4 years old and blind as well as other issues. Unfortunately, he had too many things stacked against him and was unable to overcome his medical issues. Thankfully, he was able to know nothing but love from his RCBR foster parents for his last days, even got a big peanut butter pancake before being helped to the bridge.

Benny
Benny went by many names: Benjamin, Buttons, Burgers, Bouncy Boy. He was the gentlest, sweetest soul and he will forever be missed. We adopted Benny on January 25, 2020. We already had 3 rescue boxers and we weren’t sure about adding a fourth but when we saw a video of Benny running in the snow, we had to give it a try. It must have been meant to be because when we were waiting to pick him up “Bennie and the Jets” came on the radio. He immediately jumped up into our Suburban without any hesitation. We had a little rocky start getting him and our other boy Gunner to get along but it worked out and they eventually would snuggle together. He showed us just how sweet he was when he had to get eye surgery for an ulcer and never messed with his eye or fought us putting eye drops in his eyes every few hours. He eventually became head of the neighborhood watch and would announce his tour of duty with barks when outside. Oddly he rarely barked in the house; I can count on one hand how many times he barked inside! He was my workout buddy even though he mostly just napped while I worked out. Occasionally he would wake up and give me a little kiss to make sure I was ok and then go right back to sleep until I was done. He was my coworker when I began working from home. Curling up next to me on the couch where I worked. If I got up to get a drink or go to the bathroom, he would often steal my spot but of course I couldn’t move him because he would look at me with those big soulful eyes. He loved to sleep right up next to us. We would spend our nights uncomfortable just to make sure that he was sleeping peacefully. Benny passed away in his sleep on September 10, 2022. We only had him for 2 and a half years. We are forever grateful that we got to know him in all his silly, sweet, and gentle ways and got to spoil him in the last few years of his life.

Bentley
Bentley came into my life on March 16, 2021. I was so excited to get him and bring him home. I had recently lost two boxers and knew he had some big paws to fill, but I knew he could do it. He was the most calm and quiet boxer I ever had. There’s a part of me that thinks he had Cushing’s disease even before I got him. Bentley loved his daily walks and it did me so much good to get exercise with him. He would lay around and sleep a lot and he didn’t really play with toys but when I snuggled up next to him, pet him and rubbed his belly, I knew he was happy. I believe that if my time with Bentley helped him to forget whatever his past was, then I did my job. He came to me at a time when I really needed him, and it was because of him I was able to begin to heal from the loss of both of my boxers. My time with him was nowhere near long enough, but when the time came, I held him close and thanked him for being my best friend and for loving me as much as I loved him. In the end, I think we rescued each other. I will NEVER forget how precious and loving Bentley was. He is a part of me then, now and always.

Blanche
Blanche was only with us for a little while. But during the time she was here, she enjoyed many things. Along with going up north on the weekends & a camping trip. She loved playing with her foster fur sister Jana. They enjoyed many hours of play time. She also loved biting squeaky toys. She never tore them apart, just bit them to make them squeak. She was a very good girl & easy to take care of. She stole many hearts with her quiet manner. Even though she never "officially" found her forever home this was her Home. She definitely took a piece of our hearts with her. Run free little girl.

Bocephus
Bocephus (a/k/a Bo) was one of the “Divine 9” dogs that came to RCBR in June 2022. He was a beautiful dark brindle with a strong profile and striking pose. Bo spent a couple months in his foster home and was adopted in July 2022. Unfortunately, Bo met with an untimely accident and left this world far too quickly. ‘Til we meet again, Bo.
