I am so happy I was able to be a happily ever after for this guy. He joined our family in October and from the first day, I knew he was special. I was able to watch him blossom and heal and understand what love really was. He kept me in laughs and hugs and helicopter tail wags. His bright eyes brightened my even darkest days. He took his last breath on 5/13/21 and will forever hold a HUGE chunk of my heart. We love and miss you very much Mr. Chance. 
Copper was a gentle soul and brought happiness to everyone he met, and that was a lot of people! He was originally brought into rescue from a shelter in North Carolina. He was then fostered in both Ohio and Minnesota. Turns out, his forever mama lived in New York, so off he went on another adventure! His mama was so proud of him; she shared his everyday shenanigans with all her friends! Everyone loved hearing and seeing stories about Copper’s day. Eight months is all they had together, but he was the light of her life each and every one of those days. 
If love, patience, and training could have erased the seven years of your previous life, you would still be here. Too much damage had already been done and the triggers were everywhere. You were such a good boy when you were well and you knew you were safe. But the demons would come back at any given time and set you up for failure. The seizures started and your brain just did not work correctly after that. Deuce, you were loved.... oh so loved. Play at the Bridge with all your friends and have fun. 
From surrendered to fostered to adopted. Hugo came to the rescue with his housemate, Happy. They were fostered separately and both flourished! Hugo’s goofy faces and loving personality made him one of a kind! The cuddles, snuggles and occasional Boxer toots will never be forgotten. Pain free in a Heaven that has toys and blankets galore, #HugoHunk will be missed in this household!
