"There are dogs that are in your life for darn near all of theirs. There are dogs that pass through for a little bit of time. I’ve had many of both. All have grabbed my heart and held it in their paws. Zuzu was one of the latter, holding my heart for a mere 16 months. Less time doesn’t equal less love. Less time doesn’t equal less hurt, less heartache. As with so many dogs that find themselves in Rescue, her life wasn’t the best for her first 10 years, but I tried to make up for that in those 16 months. Zuzu was a quiet, silly and snuggly love bug, and she had a wondrous look in her eyes that simply drew you in. I was so blessed that you chose me, Zuzu.
