![]() Duke (formerly known as Hector) was an old, gentle soul. He loved to snuggle and be close to his people and that included his little human brother. Duke could be found napping on the couch, laying in the sun, chasing his fur siblings in the backyard when he got a burst of energy or sharing snacks with his human brother. His favorite foods were steak, bacon and peanut butter but he wasn’t fussy! Duke was able to experience camping and loved taking walks through the campground and sitting by the fire. We got to enjoy about 7 months with him which wasn’t nearly long enough. We don’t know what Duke’s past was like but we do know the 7 months with us was full of lots and lots of love. Rest In Peace, Dukey Tukio, your sweet soul will never be forgotten. ❤️ ![]() Emmett was a very special boy. He was from the same rural shelter in Ohio in which our first Rejection Collection Boxer Rescue save (Diamond) came from. He was named Emmett in honor of RCBR Emma Jean who passed right before we rescued him. When RCBR got Emmett, we knew he didn't have long left on this Earth. He had a malignant tumor on his chest that has spread throughout his entire body. Emmett had a very limited amount of time left, but RCBR made sure those days were spent smothering him in hugs, kisses, and love, and he knew nothing but love until his last breath. ![]() "59222" was found as a stray and was at a shelter in Ohio. She was severely emaciated; could barely tell she was a boxer! Rejection Collection Boxer Rescue was asked to help. So without question, our amazing RCBR village sprung into action!! A volunteer living near the shelter was able to get her out and overnight her. Another volunteer just happened to be in the area visiting family for the holidays and would be returning home to MN, so she transported Grace the entire 13 hours home. Everything just fell into place, like she was meant to be with us. She was our Thanksgiving miracle, which is why we named her Grace. It took several months in her foster home for her to put on weight, become healthy, but more importantly, learn how to trust humans and other dogs. Grace was then adopted by an amazing family with lots of kids and was shown nothing but love. Unfortunately, Grace was unable to overcome all of the demons of her past and she was helped over the bridge with her foster mom by her side. ![]() 207 days. I knew you and loved you for 207 days. Not nearly enough time, Gracie girl. You and your silver face took your spot in my heart from the moment I saw you. Thin and confused, you walked into your new home, tried out every dog bed and claimed one as yours. Babe, Minka, and Violet accepted you as their new sister, as you did they. I've never seen a dog that dug, pulled, pushed your blankets this way, that way, back and forth, back and forth ... only to lay on part of them or none at all. Minka and Violet, who never did so before you came, are carrying on your silly nightly routine. You just wanted to be loved. I'll miss your smooches. I'll miss your snoring. I'll mis everything about you. 207 days -- not nearly enough time. ![]() Happy is now at peace and pain-free. Happy and Hugo (best buddies) were saved from a shelter in Georgia. They were then fostered separately in Wisconsin. Hugo got adopted by an amazing family and Happy moved to her hospice foster home, both in the same little town in Minnesota--what are the odds?! It is obvious these two were meant to be together until the end, and they were. Happy was with Rejection Collection Boxer Rescue for almost 3 months, where she knew nothing but love ❤️ ❤️ On her last day, she got to go for a car ride with the windows down. She then picked up her buddy, Hugo, and went for another car ride and to the park where they ate some yummy chicken and played in the mud. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
