Bugsy
"Bugsy was a wonderful boy. When he first came home, unlike the other boxers we've had in the past, he didn't attach himself to either myself or my husband. He loved us and we loved him, but it became clear when our daughter came home that he was meant to be hers, they have been glued together since. I could not have asked for a better dog to be my daughter's first dog. He was so loving and patient with her, even when she would accidentally be too rough or fall on him when she was learning to walk. He was her protector and her best friend. We grieve the loss of Bugsy for ourselves, but even more so for the loss of the beautiful friendship he and my daughter had together. We'll miss you so much sweet boy."

Max
Max crossed the bridge July 28, 2023 RCBR recently found out about the passing of Max, a Pyper’s Promise dog. Pyper’s Promise is RCBR’s scholarship program to keep dogs in the home if financial hardship is the only reason the family is looking to surrender a beloved family pet. Max had a host of allergy and skin issues that the family could not afford as well as not being able to afford prescription food. RCBR was honored to keep Max at home with Stephen and Vicki. Max was an emotional support dog for Stephen. Our hearts go out to the family.

Floyd
Floyd crossed the rainbow bridge on 4/25/2023. He was such an old soul and one of the best companions we have had. He is very much missed and left us with a void. Now he is running free with his sisters.

Tria
TRIA 4/18/2023 BB (formerly Tria) covered more ground in her lifetime with three legs than most with four. We will miss her enthusiasm and good nature.

Macy
Well done, Macy We were sad to say goodbye to the Grand Old Lady, our beautiful girl, Macy May Samuel. She crossed the rainbow bridge on Friday, June 9, 2023 around 9:45am. We didn’t know Macy as a puppy, since she came to us at 11 years old. Three years with her was not nearly long enough, but we know she saved her best years for us. Macy had 3 humans, Mom, Leslie and Cicely, and 2 cat sisters, Ophelia and Nala. She also had a “Fairy Dog Mother”, Susan Ross, and lots of fans. We miss her already, but feel fortunate and grateful for the beautiful and amazing experience it was to be her family and to spend her last years with her. It was indeed an honor and a privilege.
